My YouTube Journey Building & Experimenting
Exploring new tools, building open-source projects, and pushing the boundaries of development on my YouTube channel.
I’m passionate about the "build in public" philosophy. On my YouTube channel, OrcDev, I spend my time experimenting with different tech stacks, breaking down complex tools, and building development projects from the ground up.
For me, it's not just about using a tool—it's about pushing it to its limits. Lately, I've been deep-diving into the shadcn/ui ecosystem to see how we can create high-end, functional interfaces.
The Developer Portfolio Experiment
One of my core projects is my Portfolio Website. I built this to be a top-tier open-source template for developers, leveraging Next.js and shadcn to create a seamless user experience. I featured the breakdown of this build in my recent video:
Creating Custom UI: React Wheel Picker
I also love experimenting with specific UI patterns. I built the React Wheel Picker to bring an iOS-like feel to the web with smooth inertia scrolling. This project was a major milestone, as it's now officially backed by the ▲Vercel OSS Program.
If you're into development, experimenting with new libraries, and building real-world projects, I’d love for you to follow along on YouTube. Let's see what we can build next!
